1984 Buckskin Stallion AQHA# 2212128

"Scotch" was bred and raised on the Speer Ranch in Athens, Texas where he was used for gathering, doctoring, dragging calves and bulls, and general ranch work. Obviously, he was also used as the ranch stallion.

Scotch produced most of the colts now being used in the remuda at the Speer Ranch. Although he has never been shown, his offspring have all the qualities necessary for the performance arena and show ring. This became evident in July 1995 when a yearling colt sired by Scotch was named PHBA Reserve World Champion Amateur Yearling Halter Gelding. This colt has already earned 40 PHBA Halter and 38 PHBA Lunge Line points.

1996 saw Scotch joining the ranks of World Champion Producing Stallions when Skip Howdy Zip (a two year old palomino gelding) was named PHBA World Champion Amateur gelding and Reserve World Champion in Open.

Scotch's breeding schedule has been filled for the past seventeen years and we look forward to a similarly successful 2010 season. His foal crops have excelled at halter, reining, roping and  reined cow horse events. They have excellent dispositions, are easy to train, lovely movers and he is producing color 85% of the time.
